The Dignity Of A Little Boy

Yesterday, I went to an electronic store. I needed an electronic equipment that was broken. I found that the mall was quite. Only few people visited.

After I got the stuff. I went home by a motor cycle. On the way I met a woman in clown dress with a little boy. In my country, that is common for beggar dressed in clown. I know that most of the beggars are jobless. They live in poverty. I talked to an old man who wore clown dress a year ago. He said that he rent the clown dress. He should pay $2 a day for the dress. That was an exploitation I said in my heart. An old man should walk for miles and pay $2 for renting a clown dress. He begged for small money on the street.

Yesterday, I met an woman in clown dress and a little boy. He was about 7 or 8. Then I called the boy. I wanted to give him some money. He looked shy at first but his mom dragged his hand to me.

I was surprised when his first kept tight. He did not want to accept the money. His mom dragged again his hand. His head shook and his hand kept tighter.

I then, gave the money to his mom or the woman. I was not sure if the woman was his mom or not. From the case, I took a lesson.

The boy has dignity. He did not want to accept money from begging though he depended on the woman for living. That is why he walk for miles everyday with the woman.

To the boy, I just can pray for you hope you can be a man with dignity and can earn living in better way.
